The LDPR Congress nominated Slutsky as a candidate for President of the Russian Federation
Delegates to the LDPR congress supported the nomination of its head, Leonid Slutsky, as a candidate for the presidential election from the party. The party congress took place on the territory of Crocus Expo.
The decision to nominate Slutsky as a candidate for the post of head of state was made by secret ballot. There was only one candidate on the ballot – the head of the party. 108 delegates took part in the voting, 106 delegates voted in favor, two ballots were declared invalid.
Let us recall that the Russian Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. In turn, the Central Election Commission (CEC) decided that voting will be held over three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
