The LDPR on Wednesday staged the ceremonial launch of the “LDPR.Start” personnel project to select candidates for the September 2024 elections. Party leader Leonid Slutsky emphasized that the results of the competition will also be taken into account when selecting candidates for Moscow City Duma deputies. The LDPR also plans to attract project participants to work in administrative structures. According to party members, their competition is essentially the same primaries, but not “like that of one well-known party,” but better.
Potential contestants and party activists gathered in the courtyard of the LDPR headquarters, located in Moscow on Krasnoproletarskaya Street. The audience was energetically warmed up by State Duma Vice Speaker Boris Chernyshov, listing to those present the main party slogans: “LDPR always tells the truth,” “Don’t lie and don’t be afraid.” He also organized an interactive session, asking the guys what the “LDPR.Start” project meant to them and where they would like to go with its help. The girl, who introduced herself as Masha, said that for her the project is new opportunities, new acquaintances. “Who would you like to meet?” – Mr. Chernyshov asked. “With you,” Masha answered boldly. Student Mikhail Romanov said that he wants to come “to a bright future.” Another young man replied that he was “still thinking” what he wanted to become. Boris Chernyshov urged him to hurry up with his thoughts, because “yesterday it was early, tomorrow it will be late.” Another potential contestant decided to try a different tactic and was as specific as possible: “I would like to become an assistant to a Moscow City Duma deputy. But I’m still at the beginning of my journey, I hope that the State Duma will be waiting for me.” “She’s still waiting for you!” – Mr. Chernyshov approved of his approach.
Then a car with flashing lights drove into the yard. “There will be many winners in this project. But any victory is impossible without a mentor,” said the presenter and, to applause, he handed the floor to the leader of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky. “Today we are opening the second all-Russian competition for those who will take advantage of our social elevator,” said the party leader. He added that more than 3 thousand people participated in the first competition, which started a year ago. 35 of them were included in the electoral lists in various regions. Mr. Slutsky said that within the framework of the project, the contestants will hear lectures from deputies, senators, and leading experts and will become “ready to solve the most difficult problems.” “I’ll especially say about the elections to the Moscow City Duma. We will nominate a candidate from each constituency and will primarily focus on those who passed this competition,” the deputy added. He also said that the party “selected participants in a special military operation (SVO) throughout the country, because people with whom you can go on reconnaissance are an integral part of the LDPR personnel reserve.”
Then those who are already “riding the social elevator” of the LDPR spoke. “Where would I be allowed to become a deputy at 23 years old? Only here, only in the LDPR,” said Boris Spirin, deputy of the Ramenki municipal district. A and. O. coordinator of the Zelenograd branch of the LDPR, Dmitry Baranov, said that he came to the LDPR on behalf of a volunteer organization so that it would “help take humanitarian aid to the boys in the Northern Military District zone” and thought that he would “be sent there like other parties,” but found support from the liberal democrats . The project was launched by the ceremonial lighting of blue party-colored flares
Registration of competition participants, who can be both LDPR members and non-party citizens, will begin on April 15 and end on May 1. Then the contestants will undergo training and competitive tests.
And about. The coordinator of the LDPR MGO, Roman Krastelev, explained to Kommersant the essence of the project, drawing an analogy with the primaries. “But if for one party we know, the primaries are a closed, behind-the-scenes story, but here it is a maximally open procedure. This is not just a choice of some people who ran to a certain boss and found the right words to get on the list. This will be an open competition,” noted Mr. Krastelev. He said that participants in the competition will receive certain tasks that are “as close to the ground as possible”: for example, holding a meeting with residents of the house, collecting signatures on a petition to solve a particular problem, or writing a post on social networks to demonstrate their media abilities. Points will be awarded for completing tasks, and those guys who perform best will have the opportunity to get on the electoral lists. Also. O. The coordinator of the LDPR MGO said that the goal of the competition is not only the selection of candidates, but also the involvement of “caring people” in the party to work in the administrative structures.
