Lawyer Pavel Astakhov was banned from transiting through Georgia to Turkey to shoot the film, TASS reports.
“Having filmed material for the film about Noah’s Ark and the Flood in Armenia with the film crew of Spas, we crossed the Armenian-Georgian border in order to transit to Turkey, to Ararat, where the shooting was also planned,” he told the agency. Pavel Astakhov.
However, according to him, on the Georgian border, the border guards illegally and groundlessly kept the group for almost 7 hours. At the same time, as Astakhov noted, their documents were taken away and all personal belongings were examined, and they also tried to convince the Russians to “sign the protocol in Georgian and English.”
“As a result, we were denied transit with the director of the film,” Astakhov added.
