Lavrov said that modern European officials lack manners
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that modern European officials lack manners. He spoke about this in an interview with RIA Novosti and the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
The head of the foreign policy department recalled the visit of the head of the European Commission Ursula vor der Leyen and the President of the European Council to Beijing. Then Von der Leyen said in an interview that Europe’s attitude towards China will depend on how Beijing behaves towards Ukraine.
Lavrov noted that these states are accustomed to talking in this way with their former colonies and middle countries that depend on them economically. However, Lavrov was outraged by this attitude towards China.
“But talk like that to a great power, the world’s largest economy? With a country with many millennia of history, culture, traditions, inventions? This says a lot about the manners of modern European bureaucracy,” concluded the Russian Foreign Minister.
Previously chapter The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on US supplies of long-range systems to Ukraine. Lavrov noted that Western countries are disappointed by the failure of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but are not ready to give up attempts “to restrain Russia with the hands and bodies of Ukrainians.”
