Russia does not yet have any reason why the goals of a special military operation (SVO) would need to be revised. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following the results of participation in the OSCE Ministerial Council.
The journalist asked the diplomat whether the earlier statement made by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky about the start of construction of defensive lines throughout almost the entire territory of the country means that Kyiv has abandoned its plans to seize it?
“We do not see any reasons why our goals should be revised,” the head of Russian diplomacy responded.
Lavrov noted that the Russian side knows what goals should be achieved and controls their implementation. One of the goals of the special operation, according to the minister, is to return the Kyiv regime “to the implementation of its own constitution.”
The minister stated that the decision underlying the Ukrainian state is not only being violated, but is already being systematically trampled upon.
