Lavrov: no one allowed the West to speak on behalf of all mankind

Nobody gave the West the right to speak on behalf of the entire world community, declared Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting of the UN Security Council on effective multilateralism through the protection of the principles of the UN Charter.

During his speech, the minister stressed that informal associations created under the auspices of the United States, bypassing the UN, such as the Summit for Democracy, are needed only to impose non-consensual decisions that are beneficial to the West.

“First, they agree on something in a narrow inner circle, and then they present these agreements as the position of the international community. Let’s call a spade a spade: no one allowed the Western minority to speak on behalf of all mankind,” Lavrov said.

Last week, Lavrov said that between Russia and the United States now Hardly ever relations. The parties “only when necessary” discuss issues arising in the work of the embassies. According to him, Washington has declared a “crusade” against the Russian Federation and its interests. As the minister noted, the United States assigned the role of “combat tip” to the Kyiv regime, “pumping it with more and more new weapons systems.”

On March 31, Putin signed a new version of the Russian Foreign Policy Concept. According to the text of the document, Russia reserves the right to use the Armed Forces to repel and prevent an armed attack on itself or its allies. In addition, Russia considers the US course as the main source of anti-Russian policy and risks for its security and international peace, and greater independence from the US would have a positive impact on the security and well-being of European countries, the document says.
