Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met in Moscow with UAE Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, who conveyed to him a personal message from Arab Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This is stated in message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further development of Russian-Emirati relations, including an increase in cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, transport, industry, tourism and the oil and gas industry.
The parties also noted the importance of deepening dialogue at various levels on international and Middle Eastern issues, as well as coordination through the UN Security Council.
In early November, Lavrov made visit in Abu Dhabi, where he met with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Industry Minister Sultan Al Jaber. As the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted at the time, the parties also discussed in detail the situation in Ukraine, the settlement in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
