Lavrov called the conclusions of the Western media about the undermining of the Nord Streams shameful

The version that some Ukrainian oligarch was involved in the sabotage at Nord Stream is simply shameful. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“Trying to explain, with reference to Western intelligence services, that this is the case of some Ukrainian oligarch is simply embarrassing for those who push such a version through controlled Western media,” he said (quote according to TASS).

Lavrov recalled that Russia had submitted a resolution to the UN Security Council asking for an impartial investigation into Nord Stream. At the same time, Russia sees the desire of the UN to get away from the reaction to the incident. The minister noted that “any conscientious member” of the UN should insist on an objective investigation so that the perpetrators do not escape responsibility.

The Kremlin called the publications “a coordinated stuffing” and doubted in the involvement of pro-Ukrainian forces in undermining the Nord Streams. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev considered messages by “stupid American propaganda”.
