Lavrov announced the “hot phase of the war” between Russia and the United States

Russia and the United States are in the hot phase of the war because of the supply of American weapons to Kyiv, declared Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov in a commentary to journalist Pavel Zarubin on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“We are really in the hot phase of the war, because the Ukrainian Nazis are fighting primarily with American weapons, and the American administration each time threatens to supply more and more long-range, deadly systems,” he said.

At the same time, answering Zarubin’s question about how this correlates with the fact that today the ceremony of presenting credentials by ambassadors of 17 states, including the United States, took place in the Kremlin, Lavrov said that relations with Washington must be maintained.

“We do not lose hope that the Americans will awaken their minds and they will resume some kind of dialogue. We’ll see, we won’t have long to wait,” he concluded.

Earlier today, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russia and the United States are in the phase of “hot conflict”, the period of the “cold war” has long since passed. Ryabkov said that now there is a direct involvement of the United States in a hybrid war with Russia “in various directions.” The diplomat added that Washington is “absolutely reckless” provoking an escalation of the situation. Ryabkov also noted with regret that now there is “a lot of talk about the threat of a nuclear conflict”

At the end of March, Lavrov declaredthat the NATO countries are actually fighting on the side of Ukraine, there is nowhere to be drawn deeper into the conflict.

Russian President Vladimir Putin today April 5 accepted credentials from newly arrived ambassadors of 17 states. The ceremony was traditionally held in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
