Lavrov allowed the imminent reduction of the West’s ability to “steer” in the global economy

Soon Western countries will lose their ability to “steer” in the global economy, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, write “RIA News”.

“<...> I assure you that in the near future we will see a reduction in the ability of the West, a very serious reduction in the ability to steer the world economy as it wants. And whether he wants to or not, he will have to negotiate, ”said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Western countries have severed almost all relations with Russia, Lavrov noted. At the same time, as the minister said, the Russian side has someone to cooperate with in various areas, including the economy, culture, etc. “We are not going to run after the West,” the head of the foreign ministry said. According to him, Russia “will focus on those” who “never let her down.”

Lavrov declaredthat the administration of US President Joe Biden wants the “end of history”, about which the philosopher and political scientist Francis Fukuyama wrote (the complete dominance of liberal ideology in the world), to take place in real life. The minister noted that Fukuyama said 30 years ago that the end of history had come, referring to the complete dominance of the liberal way of life. The philosopher also noted the disappearance of its competitor – the system of socialism. According to the diplomat, the US administration wants the end of history to take place in real life, and what is happening in Europe and other continents is a reflection of this.

At the end of September, Russian President Vladimir Putin saidthat the West is looking for new ways to ruin Russia, doom its people to poverty and extinction. He also emphasized that the West is striving to do everything possible to preserve the neo-colonial system in the world. According to him, Western countries “remove rent as a hegemon” and therefore it is so important for them that all states “surrender sovereignty in favor of the United States.” The head of state assured that Russian cultural and spiritual values ​​would be protected from external influence. “Russia will always be Russia,” he stressed.

At a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects on December 15, Putin saidthat with the help of unprecedented sanctions, Western countries wanted to “crush” the Russian economy, but their calculations did not materialize. The President attributed the failure of the West’s plans to the composure of Russian entrepreneurs and authorities, as well as the solidarity of Russians.
