Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Zelensky betrayed not one, but both of his people
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of betraying his own people.
As the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, Zelensky recently said that he had forgotten the Russian language. The minister pointed out that the entire network community was watching how, several years ago, he spoke in the spirit of the “Servant of the People” script, talking about leaving the Russians and their language behind and living normally. Lavrov recalled that the Ukrainian leader said that he was a Jew, but his native language is Russian, and he himself is a citizen of Ukraine.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry wondered why Zelensky could not maintain his own principled line, emphasizing that he had betrayed his people. Moreover, according to Lavrov, the Ukrainian leader betrayed not just one, but both of his people.
The minister added that the vast majority of Ukrainians have always spoken Russian, watched films and read books in Russian, and some comedians “never left Russia.”
