Condor-FKA is equipped with a radar developed by the Vega concern, which can receive high-resolution radar images of the Earth’s surface, Roselectronics reported. It is equipped with a light umbrella-type reflector antenna and provides observation in the strip of the earth’s surface parallel to the satellite’s flight path.

Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Fregat upper stage and the first Kondor-FKA satellite was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome on the night of May 27. It was reported that the device is designed for round-the-clock all-weather radar remote sensing of the Earth in medium and high resolutions. A series of satellites “Condor-FKA” will consist of several devices. The second is planned to be launched in 2024, two more – by 2029-2030.
