Kyiv official was arrested for working with Skabeeva and Solovyov

A city administration employee is accused of treason: the outline looks extremely absurd

Kyiv security forces pleased the Ukrainian public with a powerful blow to the “enemy’s nest.” This is what the Ukrainian counterintelligence service of the SBU calls the supporters of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine and the nominal leader of the Party of Regions, Mykola Azarov, who remain in the country. According to a message on the official website of the SBU, the head of the organizational department of the Shevchenko district state administration of Kyiv, Valentina Khlopyach, and a former employee of the same regional state administration, Elena Khokhlova, are suspected of high treason.

Khokhlova, fortunately, managed to evacuate to the territory of the Russian Federation. The Kiev court handed down an uncontested two-month arrest to Khlopyacha.

If you rely on information from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Valentina Khlopyachaya’s main task was to prepare the texts of Mykola Azarov’s public speeches. The lady also ran the ex-prime minister’s Telegram and YouTube channel, his personal account on the Russian social network, which was banned by the previous President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. It was Khlopyach who organized interviews and comments by Azarov for Russian and Belarusian media, including the talk show of Vladimir Solovyov and Olga Skabeeva.

Khlopyacha allegedly fearlessly spoke with Nikolai Yanovich and the editors of the Rossiya 1 TV channel not only from her own home, but also from her office in the Shevchenko district state administration.

According to the SBU, the official allegedly “dispersed provocative materials in which she repeated the Kremlin’s rhetoric,” at the same time “misinforming Russians” about the socio-political situation in our state.

Khlopyacha worked in tandem with a former employee of the same Regional State Administration, Elena Khokhlova. Abstracts for Azarov’s speeches on Russian and Belarusian television channels, and Internet publications on his behalf were made publicly available only after Khokhlova’s personal approval, Ukrainian security officials say.

The Security Service of Ukraine also established that the capital’s official is the head of one of the divisions of the Humanitarian Support Fund, created by Mykola Azarov for the purpose of financing the Committee for the Rescue of Ukraine. Through these structures, Khlopyacha “regularly received payment for her activities.” During the searches, computer equipment and a mobile phone were found on the defendant.

As is customary in such revealing stories, the SBU posted audio recordings of negotiations between Khlopyachy and Azarov, with employees of Russian TV channels and other media, as well as with a representative of Belarusian TV.
