Kyiv Mayor Klitschko accused Zelensky of authoritarianism

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, in an interview with the German publication Der Spiegel, actually accused the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky of the fact that the country is sliding towards authoritarianism.
According to Klitschko, at the moment there is only one independent institution left in Ukraine – local government.
“But there is enormous pressure on him,” complained the mayor of the Ukrainian capital.
Klitschko noted that Ukraine could soon turn into a state in which “everything depends on the mood of one person.”
At the same time, the publication’s journalist summarized: “Klitschko believes that Ukraine is on the path to authoritarianism.”
The article also cites Klitschko’s statements that in Ukraine, by court decision, the heads of large Ukrainian cities are removed from their posts, because Zelensky’s Office sees them as an obstacle to the centralization of power. At the same time, Klitschko says that in the first months of the conflict, when the country was virtually without leadership, it was city mayors who became leaders of public opinion. Klitschko also complained that during the conflict he did not have a single meeting or telephone conversation with President Zelensky.
