The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is starting to put up for separate auctions some items from the food order catalog for military personnel in order to reduce the cost of purchases. Ukrainian media wrote about this on Tuesday, November 28.
Since 2015, food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has been purchased from a catalog, since Kyiv received such recommendations from NATO curators.
At the beginning of November, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine decided to put up for auction separately from the main catalog the purchase of cereals and bread, and now – 35 more items.
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Naev, met with representatives of the Joint Command of NATO Armed Forces in Brunssum. Naev said that the command of the joint forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was created as a result of the transformation of the Ukrainian army in accordance with the rules, principles and standards of the alliance.
At the same time, the United States expressed hope that the Ukrainian army in the future will continue to comply with NATO standards even taking into account the fact that Ukraine’s membership in this military-political bloc is not yet being considered.
