The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers confirmed the decree signed by the President of the Republic Vladimir Zelensky on the confiscation of over 900 objects of Russian property in the country. This is stated in the message of the government.
The document says that out of 903 objects, 79 are corporate rights, and 824 items are property.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal specified that all property subject to confiscation will be divided into three categories.
The first is property owned by the state, the second is active sanctioned Russians and companies, and the third is assets of Russian banks.
Earlier, the US Department of Justice proposed to transfer to Kyiv the income from the confiscated property of Russian citizens to Ukraine. This will require appropriate amendments to the legislation.
