Kyiv announced NATO’s attempts to restore grain exports from Ukraine

The North Atlantic Alliance is studying various options for resuming the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea. More on this on Tuesday. September 26, said the head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO Natalya Galibarenko.
She emphasized that at present it is too early to talk about final decisions, but options are being considered.
At the same time, escorting dry cargo ships with grain by NATO military vessels, according to Galibarenko, is possible only in the territorial waters of the alliance countries.
Following Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Food Initiative, James Stavridis, former commander of NATO forces in Europe, proposed use NATO convoys for export of Ukrainian grain by sea.
Ankara doubted the feasibility of this plan. Former Turkish Ambassador to the Russian Federation Hussein Dirioz said that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance won’t support the idea of escorting ships with Ukrainian grain in the Black Sea by NATO warships. He recalled that US President Joe Biden noted that he does not want to accept Ukraine into the military-political bloc, so as not to turn the situation into a NATO-Russia conflict.
