Kyiv added Nestle to the list of “war sponsors”

The National Anti-Corruption Agency (NACP) of Ukraine has included a Swiss company Nestle to the list of “international war sponsors” due to the fact that it continues to work in Russia.
“Despite the fact that the profit from the Russian market is only a little more than 2% of the activities of the entire Nestle, the company has not yet decided to leave,” the department’s Telegram channel says.
The company, Kyiv believes, will continue to support the Russian economy, as well as import complex equipment to develop its own business. After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Nestle announced the suspension of exports and imports to Russia, with the exception of essential goods, but the shelves of Russian stores were “overflowing with Nestle products” as of February 2023, the NAPC added.
NAPC regularly updates the list. Earlier in September it was included Indian diamond manufacturing and export company Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK). At the beginning of September, the American companies PepsiCo and Mars were included in it. The decision to include companies in the NAPC list was explained by the fact that they continue to do business in Russia and support its economy by paying significant taxes. Previously, the list included the British corporation Unilever, a number of Chinese companies, including the Alibaba group.
