In Kuwait, forty days of mourning have been declared for the deceased Emir Nawaf al-Jaber al-Ahmed al-Sabah. This is stated in a statement by the Kuwaiti government.
Earlier, on state television, the Minister of Emir’s Office, Mohammed Abdullah al-Mubarak al-Sabah, said that Emir Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah, who led the monarchy since September 2020, died at the age of 86.
“Government institutions will be closed for three days,” the message added.
