Starovoit announced plans this week implement SMS alert in case of emergency in border areas.
“To date, we have deployed a regional warning system, the municipal warning system has not yet been brought to working condition. We are now also working on sending SMS with operators, I think this can also be put into operation at the moment, ”Starovoit said.
More than 1 billion rubles are needed to upgrade the warning system, he added.
