Kremlin: Russia values ​​relations with Kazakhstan

Russia cherishes relations with Kazakhstan and records the positive dynamics of their development, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters.

At the briefing, Peskov was asked if it was possible to talk about some kind of split in relations between the two countries against the backdrop of US President Joe Biden’s statements about the NWO, made at a press conference with the head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

“No. We value our relationship [с Казахстаном]. We are united by bilateral ties that are very, very multi-format, we are united by participation in joint integration projects. And we are seeing very positive dynamics in the development of these ties,” Peskov replied.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi informedthat the republic is working closely with the United States on issues related to preventing businesses or industries from falling under secondary sanctions. Earlier, he stated that Kazakhstan would not help Russia bypass Western sanctions. According to the diplomat, Astana and Moscow have close economic ties, so the sanctions imposed against Russia had a negative impact on the economy of Kazakhstan.

At the end of February Kazakhstan closed its trade representative office in Russia, explaining this step by “optimizing the work of state bodies” and a high level of mutual cooperation with Russia. The Russian side does not plan to close its trade mission in the republic, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier.
