Kremlin: G7 security guarantees for Ukraine will encroach on Russia’s security

The security guarantees provided by the G7 countries to Ukraine will be an encroachment on the security of Russia, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
Journalists asked Peskov how the Kremlin assesses the first results of the NATO summit and the US statements on security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to Peskov, it is premature to comment on the results of the summit before its completion, and the topic of Ukraine’s entry into NATO is directly related to the statement that the G7 countries will provide security guarantees to Kiev on July 12.
“We consider this extremely erroneous and potentially very dangerous, because by providing any security guarantees to Ukraine, these countries are actually ignoring the international principle of the indivisibility of security. That is, by providing security guarantees to Ukraine, they encroach on the security of the Russian Federation,” he said.
