“On June 17, Vladimir Putin will receive the leaders of a number of African states, who, in accordance with an earlier agreement, are arriving in St. Petersburg to negotiate possible ways to resolve the situation around Ukraine,” the message says.
Earlier, Putin held a separate meeting with Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebbun. On June 14, meetings with the Algerian leader were held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Swofed Valentina Matviyenko and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
June 15 Putin and Tebbun following the talks signed declaration on in-depth strategic partnership between the two countries. In addition, the leaders of Russia and Algeria agreed on cooperation in the field of the use of outer space for peaceful purposes by signing an appropriate agreement.
