Kravtsov called the sanctions against him revenge for the independence of the education system

Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov called Western sanctions against him a reaction to the independent and autonomous education system that has been created in Russia. He made such a statement after new restrictions were introduced against him.

“We are on the verge of global leadership in the educational environment, we have managed to form a domestic multi-level education system, which is absolutely autonomous and independent of the influence of imposed Western projects and ratings. We have blocked all the influence within the country of various supposedly educational areas of work under the auspices of Soros, we have created an assessment of the quality of education that shows the real picture and allows us to achieve progressive results. We are being retaliated against,” he said.

According to him, this is indicated by the results of international olympiads and competitions, which have been constantly improving over the past decade. “Western countries always act in such a way as to achieve their goal at any cost: if it doesn’t work out in quality, they take it with imaginary political pressure. Complete absurdity and a clear failure of the Anglo-Saxon educational system,” he added.

Kravtsov stressed that a large number of sanctions lists, in which his name appears, once again indicates the correct vector for the development of the education system in Russia.

Earlier today, May 19, the Government of Canada published the updated sanctions list, which included 73 individuals and companies, including Kravtsov, as well as the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov, human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, and others. At the same time, the US Treasury also presented an updated list of sanctions. Kravtsov and Moskalkova, as well as Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko, fell under US sanctions. The latter, in turn, notedthat she has never had real estate and assets abroad, so the US decision to add her to the sanctions list will not affect her in any way.
