The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation pointed out to the Ministry of Energy that the deadlines for connecting the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines with a unified gas supply system were violated. Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov announced this.

As Mr. Krasnov explained on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, in most Russian regions there are problems associated with inflated tariffs on the energy market and refusals to connect to networks. In this regard, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Prosecutor General’s Office conducted an audit of the implementation of legislation in the field of gasification.

“The Russian Ministry of Energy indicated a violation of the deadlines for the implementation of measures to connect the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines with the Unified Gas Supply System, primarily in order to prioritize the needs of the domestic market,” said Igor Krasnov (quoted from RIA Novosti “).

Include the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines into a unified gas supply system Vladimir Putin instructed in April 2022. Now the UGSS in the east breaks off at the border of the Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions. As part of the “Power of Siberia-2” project, it is planned to build a section of 1.4 thousand km along the Kemerovo-Krasnoyarsk-Taishet-Irkutsk route.
