Labor Minister Anton Kotyakov reported at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on income support for families with children that this year, in the face of rapid inflation, the minimum wage was increased in two stages.
“The second stage of the increase will take place from January 1, 2023,” Kotyakov said, adding that, taking into account the earlier indexation by 10% of the minimum wage, by 16.9% compared to the level as of January 1, 2022.
According to him, the increase in the subsistence minimum will be 13.6%.
“That is, both the subsistence minimum and the minimum wage will increase above the expected inflation,” the minister added.
