Do you know what the army was sorely lacking for success in the battles for Kyiv?
It’s just that you don’t have to stress. This is not about the Russian, but about the Red Army, and about 1943. 80 years ago, the top military and political leadership of the country, during both the Kursk defensive and offensive operations, very carefully monitored the use of various types of military equipment during the battles. And in hot pursuit, the State Defense Committee made decisions to phase out some types of weapons, start production or increase it sharply for others.
Among the most successful and effective ammunition were, for example, PTAB-1.5 – anti-tank cumulative bombs weighing 1.5 kg, which were dropped on enemy armored vehicles. The scale of their production was ordered to be sharply increased and adjusted wherever possible, including small-scale production. But among the most needed means of destruction were those, the expansion of the production of which turned out to be a very difficult task. And during the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878, it turned out to be an insoluble problem of supplying soldiers with the most familiar camping food product. And by no means because of its scarcity or the complexity of preparation, but because of the way high-ranking persons meet their own needs.
