Expert Knutov predicted the beginning of the mobilization of citizens who left Ukraine
Military expert, director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces (Air Defense) Yuri Knutov in conversation with “Lentoy.ru” stated that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine may begin mobilizing draft dodgers and citizens who left the country.
The expert believes that in theory, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense can really recruit the required number of citizens, which can be achieved by mobilizing citizens and draft dodgers who have gone abroad. Knutov pointed out that nine million people left Ukraine, of which four million were draft dodgers. He stressed that these figures are “serious and solid.”
At the same time, the expert expressed doubts that such mobilization measures would be effective. He explained that recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will need to be trained and prepared for combat operations, which will take at least six months. Knutov noted that for some reason Ukraine believes that Russia will watch for these six months as it prepares brigades intended for a new counter-offensive.
The expert concluded that the Russian Federation does not intend to sit idly by, but will take measures, and active actions will definitely be observed on the Russian side.
