The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) holding is negotiating with the Russian Ministry of Defense on the supply of unmanned boats to the troops. Managing Director of KMZ Mikhail Danilenko announced this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Russia has already developed a basic unmanned boat called Vizir, which has the potential to be modified and perform a variety of tasks. A boat of this type can be used as an attack naval drone, an emergency response vehicle, a vehicle for delivering troops and cargo, and also as a hydrographic tool for exploring the sea coastal zone and the bottom.

Mikhail Danilenko emphasized that intensive negotiations are currently underway with the Ministry of Defense regarding the possible supply of Vizir. The parties clarify technical requirements and discuss possible modifications, depending on the interests of military departments.
