Klishas to Medvedev: wartime laws have not yet been adopted in Russia

The head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council Andrei Klishas reacted to the proposal of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev to act according to the “rules of war” against “traitors” if “the laws do not work.” Mr. Klishas noted that wartime laws have not yet been adopted in Russia.
“Of course, according to the Law (you need to act; the spelling is preserved.— “b”). Until the State Duma adopted wartime laws and they are not signed by the President – only according to the Constitution and the Law,” wrote Mr. Klishas in Telegram.
Mr. Medvedev turned on into a correspondence discussion of Russian politicians against the backdrop of statements by a number of Russians in support of Ukraine. So, Artur Smolyaninov (“Ninth Company”, “Duhless”, “Christmas Trees”) declaredthat he is ready to conduct military operations only on the side of Ukraine and he is indifferent to the fate of the Russian Federation, even if “one Jewish Autonomous Okrug” remains from it, and everything else will turn into radioactive ashes.” In response, some United Russia members have proposed imposing sanctions against such Russians. For example, to prohibit entry into the Russian Federation or to cancel passports. Mr. Klishas, responding to the proposals of the deputies, declaredthat politicians who propose “to stop ‘playing by the rules’ and not paying attention to the Constitution should leave the constitutional authorities.”
