Andriy Klishas, head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation, said that the Ukrainian language would not have official status in the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. He wrote about this in his telegram channel.

“The Ukrainian language will not have any official status, only the republics within the Russian Federation have the right to establish the state language,” he said.

According to him, “no one will ban the language,” but there are no plans to give it an official status either.
