Klishas commented on Medvedev’s words about “wartime rules”

Until wartime laws are adopted in Russia, one should act in accordance with the Constitution and Russian laws. This was stated by Andrey Klishas, ​​Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building.

“Until the State Duma adopted wartime laws and they are not signed by the President – only according to the Constitution and the Law,” wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Thus, Klishas commented on the words of Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, about measures against “traitors who defected to the enemy and who want the death of their Fatherland.”

In his Telegram channel on January 8, Medvedev reminded about the “special rules of wartime”. He stressed that traitors must be dealt with “according to the law.” If the law does not work, then one should recall the “special rules of wartime,” the politician added. According to Medvedev, in times of war there were always such “special rules”, as well as “quiet groups of impeccably invisible people” who enforced them “effectively”.

The day before, January 8, Klishas also urged to leave the authorities of politicians who propose to “play against the rules” and call on “not to pay attention to the Constitution”.

Earlier, Russian politicians called for the seizure of the property of citizens who left Russia and speak negatively about the country. In particular, on December 28, 2022 with such a proposal spoke Senator Sergei Tsekov. He offered to send the seized property to the participants of the special operation and stressed that this should apply to everyone, including IT specialists. On the same day Medvedev offered not to let such people into Russia “until the end of their days”, as well as to cut off citizens from sources of income in the Russian Federation.

In reply to Klishas criticized Tsekov’s proposal to confiscate the property of the departed Russians in favor of the needs of the special operation and called it unconstitutional. At the same time, back in early December, the chairman of the committee of the Federation Council spokethat the authorities can develop measures that “make being abroad less comfortable” for the departed Russians.
