The American side’s evasion of the trial of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipeline will mean an admission of guilt, wrote Andrey Klishas, head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, on his Telegram channel.
“The US government and Biden personally were accused of a terrorist attack on Nord Stream. The US called the accusation a lie. Let’s see if the White House sues,” he wrote.
The senator pointed out that if the White House evaded the trial, it would be an admission of guilt, “despite the formal denial” that the explosion on Nord Stream was organized by the US government.
Adrianne Watson, spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council, earlier today called the US involvement in the Nord Stream bombing a lie.
Earlier today, American journalist Seymour Hersh said that US President Joe Biden decided to sabotage Nord Stream after more than nine months of secret discussions with the national security team. The journalist believes that from the first days of the existence of Nord Stream 1, Washington considered the project as a threat to Western dominance. Hersh claims that American divers planted explosives under the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines during NATO exercises in the summer of 2022. On September 26 of the same year, a Norwegian naval aircraft dropped a sonar buoy. It was he who set off the explosives, the journalist concluded.
The incident on the gas pipelines occurred on the night of September 26, 2022. Then pressure dropped in both pipelines, and later two leaks were discovered, which were located in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Sweden, and two more in the Danish EEZ. Initially, the three countries agreed to conduct a joint investigation, but later this idea was abandoned.
In Moscow, the damage to gas pipelines was described as a “terrorist attack at the state level.” On September 30 of the same year, during his speech in the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of sabotage on the Nord Stream highways and the destruction of the European energy structure.
