On the first day of voting in the Russian presidential elections in Moscow, almost 3 million people voted. Chairman of the Moscow City Election Commission Olga Kirillova told reporters about this.

According to her, 2 million 976 thousand 987 ballots were issued, 2 million 381 thousand 139 voters voted electronically.

Kirillova also noted that Muscovites showed high consciousness. We can talk about an unprecedentedly high turnout on the first day of voting.

Previously Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin said that he voted electronically in the elections.

Let us remind you that the presidential elections in Russia take place from March 15 to 17. Citizens who have permanent registration in the capital, as well as residents of other regions of the country who have previously filled out an application to be assigned to a polling station in Moscow, can vote in Moscow. You can cast your vote online until 20:00 on March 17. Polling stations are open from 8:00 to 20:00 all three days.
