According to the Korean Central News Agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was present at the testing of the new ballistic missile.
As the agency clarifies, the head of state personally supervised the launch of the Hwasongpo-16B medium-range ballistic missile.
“On April 2, Kim Jong-un... supervised the first test launch of a new type of solid-propellant medium-range ballistic missile, Hwasongpo-16B, equipped with a newly developed hypersonic glide warhead,” the statement said.
