North Korean leader Kim Jong-un invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit North Korea. About it writes KCNA.
“After the banquet, Kim Jong-un cordially invited President Putin to visit the DPRK at a convenient time,” the agency reports.
KCNA claims that Putin accepted the invitation.
September 13, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov statedthat Putin’s return visit to the DPRK is not planned yet. There is no such issue on the agenda, he explained. Peskov clarified that contacts between Pyongyang and Moscow are planned “through the foreign ministers” in October.
Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia on September 12 at the invitation of the Russian president. On September 13, Putin and Kim Jong-un met at the Vostochny cosmodrome. Leaders first held negotiations in an expanded format, and then continued the meeting in a tete-a-tete format. Commenting on the negotiations, Putin said that “a very frank exchange of views took place on the situation in the region, on bilateral relations.”
