North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited Russian aircraft factories in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where he assessed the demonstration flight of the Russian Su-35 fighter. About it reports Russian Government.

During the visit, the North Korean leader was shown the engineering center and production workshops of the Gagarin aircraft plant, as well as the site of the production center of the parent company of the civil division UAC “Yakovlev.” At the last enterprise, the head of the DPRK visited the final assembly shop of the SJ-100.
In addition, Kim Jong-un and Manturov inspected the assembly production of fighter aircraft and the final assembly shop for Su-35 aircraft and the fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft complex. It is noted that at the end of the program, the leader of the DPRK appreciated the demonstration flight of the Su-35.
Manturov noted that Russia “sees potential for cooperation” with the DPRK, including in the field of aircraft manufacturing. According to him, this is especially relevant in the context of countries’ desire to “achieve technological sovereignty.”
On September 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un met at the Vostochny cosmodrome. First, the leaders held talks in an expanded format, and then continued the meeting in a tete-a-tete format. As before reported Putin, Kim Jong-un is also planning a trip to Vladivostok, where he will be shown the capabilities of the Pacific Fleet.
The DPRK leader arrived in Russia on September 12 at the invitation of the Russian president. This is the second visit of the North Korean leader to Russia. The first was in 2019, Putin and Kim Jong-un met in Vladivostok.
