“Killed” kopeck piece “from 5 million”: Crimeans were outraged by real estate prices

“They come in large numbers from the Crimea. Real estate is falling in price, ”the Ukrainian media describe the situation on the peninsula. Crimeans did not leave the news without attention. They expressed themselves in social networks: “Yeah, it’s falling, keep your pocket wider”, “Yes, we dream that prices will fall”, “We lived, the locals cannot afford housing”, “Five years ago they could even buy a plot, now nothing.”

It turns out that the problem of inaccessible housing in Crimea is long overdue. We listened to people’s complaints and asked the price of real estate near the Black Sea.

The popular Russian Internet service posted 15 thousand ads for the sale of apartments in the Crimea.

The cheapest one costs 1 million rubles. This is a “kopeck piece” in a barracks. Located in the village of Soviet. The description states: “The area is 55 square meters, the kitchen is 5 meters. The apartment is non-residential, amenities are on the street, renovation is required.

The cost of other apartments starts from 2 million rubles. More or less decent housing is given for 5-8 million rubles. Luxury apartments are estimated from 15 million rubles.

By the way, on the outskirts of Moscow you can find a one-room apartment for 3 million. Closer to the center for 12-16 million.

“Previously, a decent “kopeck piece” could be taken for 2.5-3 lyamas, now from 7,” the Crimean woman is indignant on the social network.

“I can’t pay a million for a mortgage, but refugees are given from 2.7 million. Where is the justice?” Another woman keeps up the conversation.

“Be afraid of God. They have lost everything, and you envy them. What can they buy with this money in Crimea? A booth for a tuzik? ”The third lady intercedes for the visitors.

Julia lives in a village near Evpatoria. The girl complains that real estate in Crimea is too expensive for the locals: “Recently, acquaintances bought a 2-room apartment in our village for 5 million. Odnushki cost about 4 million. Last year, housing was 1.5 million cheaper. And three years ago we took a large two-room apartment for only 2 million. The difference is noticeable.

The locals can no longer afford housing. But refugees are dismantling apartments. There are a lot of new people in our village. After all, they are issued certificates for the purchase of housing. The family gets 4-6 million. I think because of them the apartments have risen in price.

Rent also went up. Previously, an apartment in the village could be rented for 3,000 rubles per day, now a one-room apartment is rented for 6,000. In the city prices reach up to 20 thousand per night. Of course, there is no demand, but prices are not reduced. Employees of hotels on the western coast of Crimea say that this year there will be no season in the villages. The beaches have not yet been opened, so they said: “Don’t even hope.” Let’s see”.

Anastasia from the village of Nikolaevka, Simferopol District, complains that with the current prices she cannot save up for an apartment: “Everything has become as expensive as possible. I managed to save up only for the first installment on the mortgage, there is no other way, there are no relatives with an inheritance. Now the murdered apartment of 50 “squares” costs from 5 million rubles and more. Near the sea, prices start at 9 million. Over the past year, housing has risen in price by 2-3 times.

At the moment, only Kherson residents with a certificate and millionaires can afford to buy real estate in Crimea.”

When asked where millionaires come from in Crimea, the interlocutor replies: “The children of deputies do not live in poverty. And the average salary of ordinary people is 35-40 thousand. I am now on maternity leave, a year and a half ago I worked for 20 thousand.

Taras from Feodosia agrees with the compatriot: “It is unrealistic for locals to buy housing if their income is less than 100 thousand rubles. And here if you get 40 thousand, consider yourself lucky. In Feodosia, prices for the most modest apartments start at 3-4 million. They are bought mainly by visitors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Urals, Siberia, and the Far East. Locals, who had the opportunity and desire, left here 9 years ago. Who moved to Ukraine, who to the mainland. Changed the Crimean registration. Now there is no panic, no one is running away from here. And Ukrainians are in no hurry to part with their homes. I know that people from Kyiv, Kharkov, Dnipro, Zaporozhye have real estate in Koktebel, Sudak, Yalta.

Sergey from Simferopol managed to buy a house in 2021 at reasonable prices. He admits that now he would not have mastered the purchase: “Over the year, houses have risen in price significantly. For example, a rather modest house, which I looked at before buying mine, was sold for 4.5 million. Now they are asking for 6 million for it. Another unsightly 2-storey house cost 6 million. Now – 9 million. I will not say that there is a demand for them. Many ads even began to withdraw from sale. I think people are waiting. Hopefully the prices will jump up later.”

Another resident of Evpatoria, Ivan, described the situation with housing in his city: “Real estate is becoming more expensive, but nevertheless, housing by the sea is still in demand. It has always been so. Locals from the Crimea are not running now. If someone leaves, then perhaps to the NWO.

Many who have moved here before want to stay. For example, my friends from Yekaterinburg are satisfied with Evpatoria, they are in no hurry to return. I heard that now people in the Urals are actively selling housing in order to move to the Crimea.

Everyone is upset only by the fact that this year the season may fail .. And tourism is a big part of the income for any Crimean.

The main problem of the peninsula is low wages and high prices. Salaries in state institutions range from 15-40 thousand rubles, depending on the position. A handyman at a construction site gets 1500-2500 per day. But for 2500 you still need to look for a part-time job. With such salaries, not only can you not buy an apartment, you barely have enough to live on. Everything else seems to be fine.”
