“This is impossible at the moment”: Kiev stated that they did not ask the West to send their military

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said that Kyiv did not ask European countries to send troops to Ukraine. In his opinion, the country has a sufficient number of military personnel.

“We did not ask for troops,” Shmygal assured in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Pais. “We have our own armed forces and defense forces, there are enough troops.”

Commenting on the recent statement by French President Emmanuel Macron, the Ukrainian prime minister stressed that not a single European country agrees to send soldiers to the battlefield. “It is absolutely clear to everyone that this is impossible at the moment,” Shmygal concluded.
