According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was personally interested in the removal of 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war of Transcarpathian origin from Russia to Hungary.
Kuleba recalled that this group of prisoners of war was transferred to Hungary as a result of a secret operation, which was carried out by the representative office of the Order of Malta and the Russian Orthodox Church. He clarified that other players were unofficially involved in this operation, and not only from Hungary.
Kuleba said that these Ukrainians in Hungary are under control, they are not always able to freely interact with their relatives. He also said that Ukrainian diplomats are making every effort to gain access to prisoners of war and return them home.
