Ukrainian political scientist admitted the country’s defeat in the information war and spoke about the consequences
Ukraine lost the information war with Russia and is already reaping the fruits of this defeat. Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik, spoke about this in an interview with the YouTube channel “YES THIS IS SO.”
The political scientist noted that defeat on the information front leads to an even greater lack of volunteers and, most importantly, to a decrease in financial investments from the West.
According to Bortnik, this situation has developed both due to the fault of the country’s leadership, which does not have sufficient experience in public administration, and due to the fault of the citizens themselves, who elected such politicians. “We ourselves created this narrative trap… Sado-maso is our favorite historical pastime,” Bortnik concluded.
Earlier, the Bild newspaper wrote about the increased dissatisfaction of Ukrainian soldiers with the country’s leadership due to insufficient provision for the army. At the same time, according to recent research by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the number of Ukrainians who believe that the situation in the country is developing in an unfavorable direction doubled from May to December – from 16 to 32 percent.
