Khusnullin: the next section of the M-12 Vostok highway will open in November

The next section of the M-12 Vostok federal highway, which runs through the territory of Chuvashia, is planned to open in November. About it reported TASS with reference to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“We will open it in November, start rolling it out, and on December 20 we will launch the entire track <…> This is about 150 additional km,” the agency quotes Khusnullin as saying.
The Deputy Prime Minister also added that about 500 billion rubles will be needed to expand and increase the capacity of the Rossiya transport corridor from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok.
On September 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched traffic on the fourth section of the M-12. Thus, the highway was extended from Moscow to Arzamas. Cost of travel on this section will be about 2800 rub. for passenger cars and about 6,000 rubles. – for trucks. The total length of the route is 415.58 km.
By the end of 2024, the M-12 should to tie the capital with Kazan and Yekaterinburg. Travel time between these cities will be reduced by almost half. In the future, they plan to extend the route to Vladivostok.
