Khusnullin announced the launch of traffic on all lanes of the Crimean bridge

Automobile traffic on all lanes on the Crimean bridge is open, the work was completed 39 days ahead of schedule, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said.
“After a successful test of the bearing capacity of the spans of the Crimean bridge, vehicular traffic has been fully launched along all its lanes,” transmits Khusnullin’s words to his press service (quote from RIA Novosti).
On October 8, 2022, a truck was blown up on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula. Also, seven fuel tanks of a train heading towards the Crimean peninsula caught fire. As a result, the motor spans of the bridge partially collapsed, killing four people. The government instructed to restore the facility no later than July 1, 2023.
Khusnullin at the end of January informed on the completion of the sliding of the fourth – the last – span on the left automobile part of the Crimean bridge. He said that in early February the span would be completely lowered to its design position, and then the builders would start laying asphalt, installing lighting and barrier fences. It was planned to open traffic for cars and buses, according to him, in March.
Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed Ukraine’s special services for the attack on the Crimean bridge. On October 12, the FSB of Russia reported that the organizer of the attack was the head of the military intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov.
