Khusnullin announced housing certificates for citizens from the Kherson region

Those wishing to leave will receive housing in any region of Russia

Residents of the Kherson region will be able to purchase housing in any region of the country. This statement was made today by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. The Cabinet has prepared an algorithm for the resettlement of citizens who decide to move from the Kherson region to anywhere in Russia. Housing certificates will be used to purchase real estate.

On Tuesday, Marat Khusnullin reported on the decisions made to the deputies of the State Duma behind closed doors, after which the deputy head of the Cabinet went on a brief press approach to journalists. From the expression on Khusnullin’s face it was clear that everything went smoothly, everyone was happy.

On Monday, the chairman of the Committee on Education Olga Kazakova at the Council of the State Duma said that the housing issue before the parliamentarians was put squarely by the inhabitants of the new Russian region during the working trip of the Duma members. Due to the constant shelling by the Kyiv regime and the persistent attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destroy the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, not everyone is ready to stay in the Kherson region.

However, the resettlement algorithm was found very quickly. According to Marat Khusnullin, the housing certificate will become the main mechanism. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that this format is well developed, so there will be no problems with implementation.

– A housing certificate is the main well-established legal mechanism that we have in Russia. Residents of the Kherson region will be given the opportunity to deliver them free of charge to temporary residences, where they can live until they find suitable housing. It can be at least a house, at least an apartment, both in the primary and secondary housing markets,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Khusnullin stressed that residents of the Kherson region will be able to purchase real estate in any region of the country with the help of a certificate. In addition, he announced “helicopter” payments to those who lost their personal belongings due to hostilities and relocation.

– Certain assistance is provided for lost things, so that people have the opportunity to purchase essential items, – said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister has not yet named specific amounts of payments.

According to the law, a state housing certificate is a nominal certificate that gives the right to a gratuitous subsidy for the purchase of real estate. The document is not a security and is most often limited to a certain period of validity. Will the certificates for the residents of Kherson be limited in time, the Deputy Prime Minister did not specify. Citizens who need to improve their living conditions, as well as a number of categories of beneficiaries, are entitled to receive a certificate. Among them, in particular, internally displaced persons. The housing certificate is not limited to a specific amount. The amount of the subsidy provided by the certificate depends on the conditions of a particular federal or regional program. The amount is calculated based on the standard cost of one square meter of living space on the date of issue of the document and the composition of the family of the recipient of the certificate.
