Khodakovsky: Russian troops thwarted the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ plan to break through to Belgorod

The ultimate goal of the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces sabotage and assault groups on the border with Russia was supposed to be a breakthrough to Belgorod, but this plan was thwarted. This was stated by the commander of the Vostok battalion, deputy head of the Russian Guard department for the DPR, Alexander Khodakovsky.

According to preliminary estimates, he believes, the Ukrainian Armed Forces could use up to three thousand people for the breakthrough – a solid group. “Zelensky’s plans to march on Belgorod itself in order to show everyone our weakness and our own capabilities have narrowed to border clashes,” Khodakovsky noted in his channel.

He named the components of the success of our border group, which for several days withstood the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the border of the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack was thwarted because the necessary steps were taken: the best crews of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Aerospace Forces and the special forces of the Russian Guard began to study the theater of intended actions ahead of time, preparing to meet the enemy; the Russian Guard introduced its combat units to the defense lines with purely army tasks.

According to Khodakovsky, the Kyiv authorities, simultaneously with the offensive on the border, planned large-scale intimidation actions in the annexed territories – a series of terrorist attacks were planned to eliminate government officials and generally significant figures. The entire enemy intelligence network, Khodakovsky noted, was activated and received tasks.

“But colleagues from the FSB,” he noted, “realized their capabilities and revealed most of the preparations. …The system’s ability to defend itself, however, exceeds the enemy’s ability to harm us.”
