Khinshtein spoke about the heroic behavior of the Russian Guard during the “Wagner” rebellion

Military personnel of the Russian Guard acted heroically during last year’s mutiny of the Wagner PMC; the troops were then personally led by the director of the Russian Guard, Army General Viktor Zolotov. Deputy Alexander Khinshtein spoke about this in his channel in connection with the anniversary, which the head of the Russian Guard celebrates today, January 27.

The deputy especially noted the personal courage of General Zolotov: the director of the Russian Guard regularly travels to the North Military District zone, directly to the line of combat contact. “During the June rebellion (PMC “Wagner” – “MK”) personally supervised all the actions of the Russian Guard,” said Khinshtein, “the time will come to talk about how heroically and steadfastly the Russian Guard behaved in those days (for example, during the capture of the Rostov Voenved airport)”.

Speaking about Zolotov’s leadership qualities, Khinshtein highlighted justice, decisiveness, reliability, decency, as well as sensitivity and the ability to empathize with someone else’s misfortune. “All this explains,” Khinshtein noted, “why Vladimir Putin entrusted his security to him for many years, and in 2016 he entrusted him with forming and leading a new security agency.”

The deputy wished the head of the Russian Guard good luck in all his endeavors and “victory, for the approach of which General Zolotov personally has already done and is doing more than a lot.”
