Marochko: Kharkov morgues are overflowing with bodies of Ukrainian soldiers
Retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources, said that civilian medical institutions and military hospitals in Kharkov are currently experiencing an acute shortage of morgue beds due to high losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He clarified that there are no places for the civilian population of Ukraine in the city’s medical institutions. Semi-basements and various outbuildings are now used for storage of corpses.
“Civilian medical institutions and military hospitals in Kharkov are experiencing an acute shortage of morgue space. This fact is associated with a sharp increase in losses in the Ukrainian army, not only in the combat zone, but also in the city itself,” Marochko noted.
According to him, now in Kharkov medical institutions they are refusing civilians temporary storage of deceased relatives. He emphasized that we are talking about those who died in hospitals.
