Kazakhstan to suspend export of military products for a year

Kazakhstan until the end of August 2023 will suspend the export of military products, reported in the press service of the government of the republic.
The decision was made at a meeting of the commission on defense industry, which was held by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov.
It is noted that the members of the commission supported the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development “to suspend the export of weapons, military equipment and military products until the end of August 2023.”
In April, Kazakhstan introduced temporary restrictions on the export of grain and flour, the measure was in effect until June 15. As Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Yerbol Karashukeev reported, during this period, exporters were allowed to export 1 million tons of grain from Kazakhstan.
