Kazakhstan in January 2023 intends to supply Germany with the first batch of oil in the amount of 20,000 tons. This was announced on Wednesday, January 11, by the Minister of Energy of the Republic Bolat Akchulakov.
He noted that Kazakhstan is going to supply 1.5 million tons to Germany this year, while Germany is interested in deliveries of up to 6 million tons.
“The demand, of course, is higher in Germany,” Akchulakov said, adding that Kazakhstan could supply the FRG with up to 6-7 million tons per year as much as possible.
The minister added that now Kazakhstan is waiting for confirmation from Russia about the possibility of oil transit through its territory.
“But here we have this confirmation verbally, I think that there will be no big problem,” the head of the department suggested.
