The Telegram channel “Kremlin. Novosti” showed footage of a bird of prey – the gyrfalcon (the largest of the falcons) landing on the hand of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is visiting Kamchatka.

In the video, a young man releases the bird, and Putin takes it with his left hand with a special glove.

The report says that all this happened during a meeting between the president and ornithologists of the Kamchatka falconry center, which is working to preserve rare species of birds of prey.

For the first time, the center will organize the reproduction of gyrfalcon, which is in the Red Book of Russia.
